Hello! Ah, we've finally reached the last episode of Season 3. This is my first time subbing an on-going show and it was quite the experience. Has it been about 3 months? But yeah, this show took that much time. I'm really going to miss it since my family and I gather every week to watch this show but I'm quite relieved it's over too.

Anyway, Davichi is awesome as always~ I've been a fan since 8282 so it's nice to see them in a variety show like this. The episode is great!

Some parts were in Japanese and Hangul subs were not provided so there might be some mistakes. I used my limited Japanese from years of watching One Piece to sub them so... yeah. lol

Okay. Sorry for that. Na PD is back with another installment of Three Meals a Day. Apparently, it's a fishing village this time and they're going on an island. He's taking resident hyung/slave/all-around guy Lee Seojin, SHINHWA's Eric, and my baby Yoon Kyunsang (You probably know him as Moohyul from Six Flying Dragons) ~~But now you know he's my baby~~.

Anything that shows Seojinnie suffering in the hands of Na PD is a treat to watch but it would be really cute to see him with Eric in a variety show. They were co-stars in drama Phoenix (or Firebird) from 12 years ago and this is sort of a reunion for them. It will also be interesting to see how it turns out for Kyunsang. His first actual variety is with hyungs who are also his great acting seniors (oohhhh must be awkward) and an evil director plotting stuff behind the scenes. I can't wait!

Three Meals a Day Fishing Village 3 will start airing on October 14, Friday at 9:15 PM KST. I got it wrong on the subtitles. I wrote Thursday. lol

Note: I'm not crazy to start subbing another show. I just got excited and subbed the teaser. So no, I'm not subbing this show.

First of all, I'm sorry for releasing the episode later than usual. After episode 9, I felt burnt out. Some people might not know but OMG Subs is not a team. I'm just one person doing everything from translating to uploading. It takes about four days to finish an episode. That is if I don't have work. So basically, I've been subbing for two months straight.

Because of that, I decided to take a break. For the whole week, I've finished a drama (Age of Youth is nice. I recommend it), went out with my friends, caught up in my variety shows, and slept a little longer than I usually do. It was an awesome break but it caused me to take longer to sub episode 10.

Anyway, episode 10 is out now~ Enjoy the show! I love god's songs a lot, especially Road so I'm glad they came to the show. I used the raw from the re-run this time. Please let me know if the audio is still bad or if it's better like this.

Wah. This episode reminded me so much of 2009, when my love for KPOP was at it's peak. Ahh, the good times. I never realized how much I missed 2PM until I watched this. And oh Wooyoung~ I've always liked Wooyoung because we share the same birthday but HOMAYGAHD when was he THIS handsome? Where was I all this time?

The ICSYV production team is really stepping up their game. This episode was so well-made and well-thought out. I can just imagine how many skilled vocalists and tone-deafs they have prepared, ready to take out as soon as the perfect time comes. The brains behind this program are awesome!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee~ Yoon Sang! I love Yoon Sang so much. He's such an adorable ahjusshi and his musical skills are just genius. More people would probably know him from Infinite Challenge's Music Festival where he teamed up with Jung Junha. He composed a lot of song. The ones I can easily pull out from memory are Gain's Irreversible, IU's The Story Only I Didn't Know, TVXQ's The Story Has Just Begun, and most if not all of Lovelyz title tracks. He is also the one behind Tim's I Love You!! You can watch more of him in Youth Over Flowers Peru which I also subbed. :)

How's your week? Mine's been crazy busy. I feel like I'm drunk from lack of sleep. I hope all of you are doing well!

I've seen some people asking for the names of the songs. They appear on screen during the intro of the song for about 1-2 seconds. It goes fast but it's there. The song playing in the background of Second Clue scene is Kim Bumsoo's I Miss You (or you might know it as Bogoshipda).

What's up with ICSYV guesting every single singer I love? Jessi is awesome and I love her disposition. She actually inspired me a lot in this episode. The skilled ones are so good and the tone-deaf ones are hella funny. Enjoy!

Keep note: I will be really busy at work next week and I'm going away on the week after that. I might be able to release the Yoon Sang episode but episode 8 will definitely be late. Also, I'm only subbing Season 3 right now. It's just not humanly possible to sub all three seasons at the same time.

Hello! So I took a day off from subbing and went hiking with my friends. 18km later, here I am almost bedridden at home. My whole body freaking hurts! It was fun but it really did hurt. Good thing my fingers can still move and sub this episode.

Ahhhhh this show is killing me! So many good singers who deserve a chance to shine. The tone-deaf ones are also awesome people. The person who came up with this show deserves more than a pat on the back.

Joonyoung was hella adorable here. I've always liked him in variety but never really followed his promotions as a singer. Since this episode, I've been playing his songs nonstop.

Translation notes:
- You must be wondering about Gamu Stephanie. Gamu means dancing and singing. Since she also dances ballet, they gave her that nickname. Stephanie (the one in the panelist) was known as Cheonmu Stephanie as well. They called Jang Doyeon as Eumjugamu, drunk singing and dancing.

- Leeteuk mentioned Yesung as a Mr. K candidate because his real name was Kim Jongwoon. He recently changed his name to Kim Jonghoon. I don't know why Leeteuk insisted on the Jongwoon. lol. I guess he forgot.

- The finger that hurts is Kangin. His real name is Kim Youngwoon.

Hi! I hope you're not getting tired of waiting for me to release episodes. It's getting harder every week to juggle between work, subbing ICSYV. subbing other stuff, watching dramas, and managing the little social life I have. I will keep subbing but my speed might deteriorate in the upcoming weeks. I hope you'll be patient.^^

I've heard about Kim Yoon Ah and Jaurim but I didn't realize until now that she sang one OST from drama Signal! She's the one who sang Road. Eeeep! I love that song so much!

Regarding Mister Bong's nickname "From Cowboys to Sistar", the Korean nickname is 소몰이, literally 'herding cows'. SG Wannabe is known for their Cow Herding singing style. It's basically the 'wo, wo, wo' in a song but it sounds like herding cows, hence the name. I thought it was awkward to use 'Cow Herding' so I just wrote it as 'Cowboys'. It just meant 'From SG Wannabe to Sistar', suggesting that he worked with them.

Also, I don't think this is a spoiler but Jung Joonyoung will be the guest for the next episode. Does he have an active fansubbing team? I just don't want to overlap with anyone. That would just be wasting each other's precious time. ~~I was kinda hoping for a week off.~~

So, as you all know by now, they talk a lot in ICSYV. First of all, there are a lot of panelists, three hosts, and then the guests. Usually, they like talking all at the same time so it's really hard to translate everything that they're saying. To help you a little bit with this, I'll have the most commonly used words posted here.

They debate on whether a contestant is a skilled vocalist or is tone-deaf.

실력자 (shil-yeok-ja) - literally "person with skills", translates to "skilled vocalist" for this show
can also mean: capable

음치 (eum-chi) - translates to "tone-deaf"

Other than those two words, they also use other words to describe the contestants.

잘하다 (jal-ha-da) - translates to "is good"

This one has many forms depending on the tense. You might here them say:
잘해 (jal-hae) - the present tense
잘할거야 (jal-hal-keo-ya), 잘할것같아 (jal-hal-keot-gat-ta) - future tense, "He will be good" or "I think he'll do well."
잘하잖아 (jal-ha-ja-na) - "See? He's good!

On the contrary, if they think a contestant is tone-deaf, they might say

못하다 (mot-ha-da) - translates to "can't" or just "not good"

Like 잘하다, it has different forms as well:
못해 (mot-hae) - the present tense
못할거야 (mot-hal-keo-ya), 못할것같아 (mot-hal-keot-gat-ta) - future tense, "He will be bad" or "I think he won't be good."
못하잖아 (mot-ha-ja-na) - "See? He's bad!"

Another word to know is

노래 (no-rae) - translates to "song"

It can be put in front of 잘하다 or 못하다 to say that someone is "good at singing" or "bad at singing"

You might hear them say:

노래 잘해 (no-rae jal-hae) - "He's good at singing" or "He's a good singer"
노래 못해 (no-rae mot-hae) - "He's bad at singing" or "He's not a good singer."

I hope this will help you a bit in understanding the program and maybe learn a little Korean. I'll add more some other day.

Hi, everyone! I was busy last week with work and other stuff so I'm so happy to release this today. The episode was so much fun (well, when was it not?)! My only complain is that there are three or four people talking at the same time. It's just not possible to translate them all. Sorry. ;A;

I had problems with encoding and I'm a newbie at this so I can't figure out what went wrong. I basically tried everything but the second part's audio is just not in sync. I'll have download links for the raw cut of part 2 and the soft subs for it. You can play it in VLC player and just drag the soft subs to it. Adjust the audio delay to 150 ms or 200 ms. You can do this by pressing K on your keyboard three times. Or try to adjust it by pressing K or J.

There are some problems but I hope you'll enjoy the episode. :)

I never knew that Choi Minsoo also sings but I've seen a lot of different sides of him in this episode. He still scares me a bit though!

Also, for reference, KAIST is Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. It's a public research university so people assume that students from KAIST are super smart. Oh Hyunmin, who was in The Genius Season 3 and 4, is from KAIST.

[KDRAMA] What I'm watching

When I'm not subbing or doing some real life work, I watch dramas. Sometimes, I would watch about 3-4 airing dramas but most of the times, I'm quite fixated on just one. My current addiction is...

Mirror of the Witch!

The drama is about Yeonhee (Kim Saeron) who's been cursed and Heo Jun (Yoon Shiyoon) who falls in love with her. I believe that Jun is based on a historical character of the same name who was a royal physician during King Seonjo's reign. Yeom Jungah plays Hongjoo, a shamaness who uses black magic, while Lee Sungjae is Taoist Choi Hyunseo who's on the other side using good(?) magic, I guess. Poongyeon (Kwak Shiyang) completes the love triangle.

Here's a teaser showing the characters. Yep. That background music sums up the feels of this drama. I still hear it in my sleep sometimes.

There is magic (black magic at that) involved and the effects are quite awesome. It's quite dark (genre-wise and sometimes, visually) with all the curses, black magic, and book of demon banishment stuff but it also doesn't skimp on lighthearted and funny moments. The acting is also superb.

It aired 12 episodes so far and will be done in two weeks. I like what I've seen and it's still going strong even while it's nearing the end of the story. The plot is interesting and it keeps you wanting more every time the episode ends. It does give the viewers a FEW clues and even fewer answers to keep going. However, the questions keep on piling up. How exactly are they going to undo the curse? Does it need a human sacrifice? Will the characters remain alive until the end? Will I survive until the end? I mean, what's with the cliffhangers every week!!

Anyway, if you're looking for something a bit dark and creepy to scare the summer heat away (not my idea), you might want to try watching Mirror of the Witch. It's well made and well acted. It's very heartfelt and genuine. The effects deserve every award out there. And if all else fails, at least you have Yoon Shiyoon. *wink*

Yeah. I know I said I'd sub Iceland but kshowonline beat me to it so I aborted the plan. OTL

As I was looking for ~~meaning in life~~ another show to sub, I realized that I Can See Your Voice doesn't have subs yet. ICSYV is a music show where the guest singer tries to differentiate who among the contestants are skilled vocalists and who are tone-deaf. So the guests has to eliminate who they think are tone-deaf just by looking at them. The last person remaining would sing with the guest on the final stage, regardless of whether the person is skilled or tone-deaf. If a skilled vocalist is chosen in the end, that person will release a song digitally while a tone-deaf winner will win $5000.

I personally like this program because well, it's fun! It's interesting how we judge people by how they look and assume that they're good singers or not. I've seen all episodes and my parents enjoyed it a lot too. This particular episode is amusing and a blow-your-mind kind of episode. I did this one first to see how the reception is. If people like it, then I'll continue subbing.

Season 3 will be airing at the end of June so I still have to think if I would sub that or go back to Season 1 and go from there. That is if time allows, of course.

This show also has SO MANY people talking so I won't be subbing every single thing they say because it's just not possible. They're just mostly "Skilled!", "Tone-deaf!", "OMG!", and "No way!" so you're not missing anything at all.^^

Anyway, here goes! Please let me know what else I can improve and which way do you think I should go from here (by order starting Season 1 or jump right on to Season 3). Thanks for watching!
